Notice of Annual Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the annual meeting of Choice One Community Federal Credit Union will be held at 501 East Main Street, Plains Township, PA 18702 on March 30, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.

The meeting is held for the purposes of (1) electing Two (2) directors to the credit union and; (2) to transact any other business that may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment of the meeting.

In addition to the candidates presented by the Nominating Committee, nominations may also be made by petition. Petition requires signatures of 1% of the membership with a minimum of 20 and maximum of 500. Currently, 108 member signatures would be needed. If you would like to seek nomination by petition, please submit a signed certificate stating that you are agreeable to the nomination and will serve if elected. Petitions must be received by close of business on February 18, 2026. Mail petitions to Choice One Community FCU 501 East Main Street, Plains Township, PA 18702 Attention: Board Secretary.

Under current bylaws, no nominations from the floor will be permitted except in the case that insufficient nominations for the available vacancies are returned by the Nominating Committee and/or petition. There will be no balloting if there is only one nominee for each vacant position. If an election is needed, it will be by paper ballot only at the Annual Meeting only.

The nominations received from the Nominating Committee and from petition will be posted in the credit union’s offices and website at least thirty-five (35) days before the annual meeting. Enclosed is the list of nominees presented by the Nominating Committee.

Elizabeth H. Yeager | Incumbent

Board Chair, Choice One Community Federal Credit Union

Elizabeth H. Yeager, better known as Libby, has been a Choice One member since 2001. She has over 40 years of experience in post secondary education and community volunteer work. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2024 having been appointed to fill the remainder of her husband’s term after his passing.

Joseph Nice | Incumbent

Secretary of the Board, Choice One Community Federal Credit Union

Joseph Nice has been a Choice One member since 2022. He has been a Board Director since 2014. He previously served as Board Treasurer from 2015 until 2017, Secretary of the Board in 2018, Board Chair from 2019 until 2022 and Secretary of the Board again from 2023 until 2025. Joe has been employed at the Lake-Lehman School District for the past 20 years as a mathematics teacher.

Nomination Information

According to the credit union’s bylaws, nominations from the floor are not permitted unless sufficient nominations have not been made by the Nominating Committee or by petition for one nominee for each position. The Nominating Committee has submitted sufficient nominations to fill the vacancies this year. Having filled all vacancies, there will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting.
