From The President
Welcome to Choice One. Our credit union is a not-for profit, federally insured financial institution owned by its members, operated by a professional staff, and guided by its member-elected board of directors.
The credit union’s purpose is to help our members meet their financial goals with high yield savings and investment accounts, low interest loans, and convenient, no or low fee money management services. We are also driven to provide our members with the outstanding service they deserve.
Choice One offers a comprehensive financial services menu, including low interest loans, 24/7 money management services and VISA Credit Cards. Accessing your accounts is easy and convenient. You can use online Virtual Branch and Mobile Money phone and tablet banking, ATM Cards, BARB phone access, and 24-hour loan applications to make your financial life easier.
Your money is also a safe and secure. Since 1941, Choice One has protected our members’ money. Your deposit accounts are federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which is governed by The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. Your deposit accounts are insured up to a combined total of $250,000. There are also steps you can take to have higher deposit balances that are also insured. Call or stop by the credit union for the details.
Credit union membership is open to anyone who, lives, works, worships, attends school, or has a business entity in Luzerne, Lackawanna and Wyoming Counties. Once you join the credit union, you may remain a member for life, regardless of where you live or work. Even better, your family becomes eligible for membership.
At Choice One, we are dedicated to the credit union philosophy of people helping people. It’s what we do. If you are not already a Choice One member, we invite you and your family to join today. Simply print the online membership application and bring it to the Choice One branch nearest you. It takes only minutes to apply for a lifetime of money-saving benefits.
Yours In Service,
Thomas M. Smith
